Prawns Vadai Recipe


Prawns/ Eral/ Royallu

Onion/ Vengayam – 35 grams

Garlic/ Poondu – 6 grams

Ani seeds/ Sombu – 3 grams

Cloves/ Krambu – 3 grams

Cinnamon/ Pattai – 6 grams

Channa Dhal/ Pottukadalai – 1 cup

Green Chili/ Pachai Milagai – 4

Coconut pieces(big)/ Thengai – 5

Curry leaves/ Karuveppilai, Coriander leaves/ Kothamalli ilai


Oil/ Yennai



1.Take the prawns in a vessel and add water half a cup or more also add turmeric powder to it and leave it to cook

2.Take a pan add oil then add onions and garlic and fry well, keep it aside

3.Then take ani seeds, cloves, cinnamon, channa dhal, green chili, salt and grind the masala well, add finely chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves to the paste

4.After the prawns gets cooked well smash it well, add the paste, fried onions and garlic and coconut paste, mix all the ingredients well, make small balls, and pat it flat like making vadai

5.fry them in oil, and the recipe is ready.
