Ingredients :
Wheat flour (godhuma maavu) – 2 cups
Moong dal (Payatham paruppu) – 1 cup
Urad dal (Ulundu) – 1/4 cup
Gram flour (Kadalai maavu) – 2 Tbs
Red chilli powder (Milagai Thool)
Corriander powder (Dhania Thool)
Turmeric powder (Manjal Thool)
Aniseed (Sombu)
Ginger
Green chili’s – 5
Coriander leaves
Lemon juice (Elumichai Pazha Saru) – 2 Tbs
Oil
Method :
* Soak both the dal’s before making the recipe
1. Take the wheat flour in a vessel, put salt, little oil, and water to make the batter, after the batter is ready make small balls and make it flat like chappati’s
2. Steam cook urad dal and moong dal by adding little water, mix well and cook until the water drains
3. Grind to paste by adding ginger, green chili’s, and aniseeds
4. Take a pan add oil, grinded paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, gram flour, mix well and after frying add the cooked dal, salt, smash and mix well
5. After the dal masala is cooked add lemon juice, coriander leaves, mix well, and make small balls
6. Keep the dal masala balls in between the wheat flour batter made previously, sprinkle little water, fold them to make kachori to oval shape
7. Take a pan add oil, heat it, put the kachori’s, fry them until they turn to golden brown color and the recipe is ready
