Delicious Aviyal Recipe


Ingredients :

Potato/ Urulai Kizhangu – 1 cup

Plantain/ Vazhaikkai – 1 cup

Carrot – 1 cup

Yam (Senai Kizhangu) – 1 cup

Beans – 1 cup

Peas/ Pachai Pattani – 1/2 cup

Drumstick/ Murungaikkai – 2

Pumpkin/ Poosanikai – 1/2 cup

Pear Squash (Chow Chow) – 1/2 cup

Coconut/ Thengai – shredded 1 cup

Green chili’s – 10

Cumin seeds

Raw rice/ Pachai Arisi – 2 Tbs

Curry leaves

Curd/ Thayir – 1/2 cup

Coconut oil/ Thengai Yennai

Method :

1. Grind finely raw rice, shredded coconut, cumin seeds, green chili’s by adding little water

2. Steam cook the vegetables

3. Take a pan add the grinded paste, steam cooked vegetables and let it cook

4. Add curd, mix well, also add coconut oil which is slightly heated

5. Finally add curry leaves, mix well, and the dish is ready
