Cashew nut, Butter Palak Recipe

Ingredients :

Palak/ Spinach/ Pasalai keerai

Cashew nuts – 10

Onions/ vengayam – 1 cup (finely chopped)

Green chili – 4

Butter – small cube

Ginger/ Inji

Garlic/ Poondu

Cumin seeds


Garam masala


Method :

1. Take a pan, put oil and heat it, add spinach/ palak leaves and fry well

2. Grind finely to paste by adding palak, onions, green chili’s, ginger and garlic

3. Take a pan add oil, mustard, cumin seeds (allow it to splutter), cashew nuts, fry well, now add the grinded palak, butter, garam masala, salt,  mix well and close the lid for the palak to cook, the recipe is ready


Ginger in tamil is called Inji

Garlic in tamil is called Poondu

Onion in tamil is called Vengayam
