Potato Masala Curry Recipe | Potato Curry for Chapathi


Ingredients :

Potato/ Urulai Kizhangu – 2

Carrot – 1 cup

Green Peas/ Pachai pattani – 1 cup

Onions/ Vengayam – 1 cup

Tomato’s/ Thakkali – 1 cup

Urad dhal/ Ulundu

Aniseeds/ Sombu

Cumin seeds/ Seerakam

Mustard/ Kaduku

Tomato Sauce

Red chili powder/ Milagai thool

Coriander powder/ Dhania thool

Curry Powder

Turmeric powder/ Manjal thool

Coriander leaves/ Kothamalli ilai

Butter

Oil/ Yennai

Method :

1. Take a pan add oil, aniseeds, mustard, cumin seeds and urad dhal, let it splutter. Now add onions, tomato’s and turmeric powder, mix well and fry

2. After frying the above ingredients, add potato’s, carrot’s, green peas, tomato sauce, red chili powder, coriander powder, curry powder and salt. Mix well and fry

3. Add sufficient amount of water and close the lid for the curry to cook, while the curry is getting cooked add small cube of butter amd mix well, garnish with coriander leaves, the recipe is ready
