Ingredients :

1. Split Bengal Gram / Chana Dal / Kadalai Paruppu – 1 Tbs

2. Split Red Gram/ Split Lentils/ Thuvaram Paruppu – 1 Tbs

3. Raw Rice / Arisi – 2 Ts

4. Dried Red Chili / Kaaintha Milagai  – 5/6

5. Coriander / Dhania – 1 Tbs

6. Asafetida / Asafoetida – 1 Ts

7. Fenugreek / Venthayam – 1/2 Ts

8. Curry Leaves / Karuvepillai – 6/7

9. Grated Coconut / Thuruviya Thengai – 1/2 cup

Method :

1. Take a pan, add oil and heat it, add all the ingredients one by one and saute them continuously until they turn into golden brown in color

2. Then grind them finely (chutney consistency) by adding little water, the freshly ground masala for arachuvitta sambar is ready
