Grilled Tilapia Indian Style Recipe | Meen Varuval Recipe


Ingredients :

1. Tilapia Fillet / Meen – 2

2. Rice Flour Powder / Arisi Maavu – 1/2 cup

3. Chickpea Flour / Gram Flour / Besan Flour – 1 Tbs

4. Ginger and Garlic Paste / Inji Poondu Vizhuthu

5. Curry Leaves / Karuveppilai – 7/8 chopped

6. Lemon Juice – from half lemon

7. Dill Leaves – few

8. Dried Mint Leaves / Pudina – 1 Tbs

9. Fish Fry Masala – 1 Tbs

10. Red Chili Powder / Milagai Thool – 1/2 Tbs

11. Coriander Powder / Dhania Thool – 2 Ts

12. Turmeric Powder / Manjal Thool – 2 Ts

13. Oil / Yennai

Method :

1. Take a bowl and add all the ingredients like ginger garlic paste, rice flour powder, chickpea flour, curry leaves, lemon juice, dill leaves, dried mint leaves, fish fry masala, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt. Mix all the ingredients together, add some water and make a thick smooth paste (the paste must not be watery)

2. Now take a spoon full of the masala paste and apply it on both sides of the tilapia fillets evenly. Marinate it for 30 minutes

3. Turn on the grill, once the grill heats up spray some oil, place the tilapia fillets on the grill and grill the tilapia, turn the over fillets and cook them on both sides, transfer them to the serving plate, garnish with coriander leaves/ dill leaves, the recipe is ready
