Chinna Vengaya Kara Kuzhambu Recipe | Chinna Vengaya Puli Kuzhambu Recipe


Ingredients :

1. Small Onions / Pearl Onions / Chinna Vengayam – cut into halves – 1 cup

2. Curry Leaves / Karuveppilai

3. Tamarind water / Puli Karaisal – made with one small cube of tamarind

4. Ginger and Garlic / Inji Poondu

5. Dried Red Chili / Kaaintha Milagai – 3/4

6. Pepper Cons / Milagu

7. Fenugreek / Venthayam

8. Mustard / Kaduku

9. Asafetida / Asafoetida

10. Turmeric Powder / Manjal Thool – 1/2 Ts

11. Sambar Powder – 1 Tbs

12. Coriander Powder / Dhania Thool – 1 Ts

13. Sesame Oil

14. Salt


Method :

1. Take a pan add oil and heat it, add all the ingredients like mustard, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, dried red chili’s, pepper cons, fenugreek, asafetida, turmeric powder, coriander powder one by one and let it splutter

2. Then add the small onions saute them well for 2 minutes, then add sambar powder, mix and add salt, saute them for another 2 minutes. Now add the tamarind water and let the curry cook, when you see small bubbles popping on the surface and the currry thickens a little, remove it from stove, garnish with coriander leaves, the recipe is ready
