Ingredients :
1. Corn Starch – 1 cup
2. Sugar/ Sarkarai – 3 cups
3. Cashew Nuts / Mundhiri Paruppu – 1/2 cup (split)
4. Cardamom / Yellakai – few
5. Food Color
6. Ghee
7. Saffron / Kum Kum Poo
Method :
1. In a microwave safe bowl add corn starch, sugar, and food color. Then add water ( around 4 cups, add little by little ) and mix them without forming any lumps, the consistency must be watery not thick
2. Microwave it for 6 minutes (* microwave timings may vary according to the microwave watts, so if you don’t get the required consistency microwave it for another extra 2 or 3 more minutes), meanwhile add ghee in a vessel and fry cashew nuts and cardamom, then add it to the halwa, mix it well, now again microwave it for 2 minutes, Now take it out and transfer it to a serving plate, add saffron on top, let it cool, then cut them into small square shape pieces, the recipe is ready
