Stuffed Collard Greens Recipe (Pizza Pie Style)


Ingredients :

1. Collard Greens – chopped

2. Onion / Vengayam – 1 cup

3. Carrot – 1

4. Green Peppers – 1 cup

5. Garlic – minced

6. Pizza Dough

7. Grated Cheese (Colby Jack) – 1/4 cup

8. Pizza Sauce

9. Salt

10. Oil / Yennai

Method :

* Pizza Dough Recipe : Take one cup of lukewarm water, add little sugar, yeast,  oil, two and half cups of all purpose flour, salt, mix well, after mixing the batter keep it aside for 15 minutes

1. Take a pan add oil and heat it, add garlic and saute them well, then add other ingredients like onions, carrots and collard greens, Saute them well, add salt and saute them well for another 2-3 minutes

2. Now make two equal parts of the pizza dough, using a roller pin flatten them and make base and upper crust. Now take a baking tray, grease it, place the bottom layer and add all the ingredients like pizza sauce, previously cooked collard greens, onions, green peppers, grated cheese. Place the upper layer, take a fork and press along the edges to seal it, Preheat oven to 400 degrees, and bake it for 25-30 minutes (or until they turn golden brown in color), cut them to equal pieces using a pizza cutter, and the recipe is ready
