Ingredients :
1. 15 Types of Beans – soak it in water for atleast 6-7 hrs
2. Onion / Vengayam – 1 cup
3. Dried Red Chili / Kaaintha Milagai – 4/5
4. Ginger and Garlic / Inji and Poondu – finely chopped
5. Curry Leaves – few
6. Cumin Seeds / Seerakam and Mustard / Kaduku
7. Turmeric Powder/ Manjal Thool – 1 Ts
8. Coriander Powder – 2-3 Ts
9. Asafetida
10. Rajma Masala Powder – 1 Tbs
11. Salt
Method :
1. Soak the beans for at least 6-7 hrs and pressure cook it
2. Now take a pan, add oil and heat it, add cumin seeds and mustard, let it splutter, then add all other ingredients like dried red chili’s, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, coriander powder, asafetida. Then add onion’s and saute them well
3. After sauteing the onion’s for 3-4 minutes, add the beans (strain the water before adding), add rajma masala powder and salt, add sufficient amount of water, close the lid and let it cook, the recipe is ready
