Ingredients :
1. White Chickpea/ Channa / Kondakadalai – 1 cup (soak it in water for atleast 6-7 hours)
2. Ginger / Inji – finely chopped
3. Black Gram / Urad Dal / Ulundu – 1 tbs
4. Asafetida / Asafoetida
5. Dried Red Chili / Kaaintha Milagai – 3/4
6. Curry Leaves / Karuveppilai – few
7. Mustard / Kaduku
8. Coriander Powder / Dhania Thool – 2 Ts
9. Grated Coconut / Thuruviya Thengai – 1/4 cup
10. Sesame Oil / Nallennai
11. Salt
Method :
1. Pressure cook the white chickpeas (soaked) by adding sufficient amount of water, for 3 to 4 whistles
2. Now take a pan, add oil and heat it, add mustard seeds and let it splutter, then add all other ingredients one by one like dried red chili’s, curry leaves, coriander powder, asafetida, ginger, black gram, saute them well
3. Add the pressure cooked chickpeas and mix well, add salt, saute them well, then add the grated coconut and saute them for 2-3 minutes, the recipe is ready
