TamilNadu Special More Kuzhambu Recipe


Ingredients :

1. Okra / Ladies Finger / Vendakkai – 1 cup chopped

2. Thick Yogurt / Thayir – 1 cup

3. Salt

4. Oil / Yennai

Ingredients To Grind :

1. Shredded Coconut – 1/4 cup

2. Aniseeds / Sombu – few

3. Cumin Seeds / Seerakam – 1 Ts

4. Green Chili’s / Pachai Milagai – 2

5. Rice Flour Powder – 2-3 Ts

Ingredients For Spluttering / Seasoning :

1. Mustard Seeds / Kaduku

2. Dried Red Chili / Kaaintha Milagai – 2/3

3. Curry Leaves / Karuveppilai – few

4. Asafetida / Asafoetida

5. Turmeric Powder / Manjal Thool – 1 Ts

Method :

1. Grind all the ingredients mentioned under to grind ingredients list, grind it by adding water little bit coarsely, then add the yogurt and mix both the ingredients together well

2. Take a pan add oil and heat it, add the okra pieces and fry them well until they turn golden brown in color and set them aside

3. Now in the same pan, add all the ingredients under seasoning and let them splutter, then add the grinded yogurt mixture, mix well and let it cook, add salt

4. While the bubble starts slightly to pop on surface of the curry add the previously fried okra and mix well, and let it cook for 1-2 minutes, the recipe is ready
