Festival Special Kaju Apple Recipe | Cashew (Munthiri) Apple Recipe

Ingredients :

1. Cashew Nut (powdered) / Munthiri – using 2 cups

2. Sugar / Sarkarai – 3/4 cup

3. Water – 3/4 cup

4. Food Color – red

5. Cloves / Krambu – few

6. Cinnamon Powder / Pattai Podi – 1 Ts

7. Cardamom / Yelakai – few – remove the center part and take only the shells


Method :

1. Take a pan add water, and heat it, then add sugar and stir continuously to prepare the sugar syrup

2. Once the sugar syrup is ready, add the cashew nut powder and stir continuously, so that it does not  stick to the pan, cook until the cashew nut mixture gets cooked well, without any raw flavor of the cashew nuts, then remove from stove and let it cool, when it is semi cool start making small size balls out of it

3. Now using a brush paint them with red color on their sides (you can even use some yellow color on top), and attach the cloves and cardamom to each of the cashew apple for the stem and leaf, the recipe is ready
