Aval Masala Balls Recipe | Poha Masala Balls Recipe


Ingredients :

1. Aval / Poha – 1 1/2 cups

2. Onion / Vengayam – 1 cup

3. Green Chili / Pachai Milagai – 2

4. Yogurt / Thayir

5. Mashed Potato / Urulai Kizhangu – 1

6. Ginger Garlic Paste / Inji Poondu Vizhuthu

7. Grated Coconut / Thuruviya Thengai – 1 small cube

8. Coriander Leaves / Kothamalli Ilai – finely chopped

9. Coriander Seeds / Dhania

10. Turmeric Powder / Manjal Thool – 1 Ts

11. Coriander Cumin Powder / Seerakam Dhania Podi – 1 Ts

12. Garam Masala Powder – 1 Ts

Method :

1. Soak the poha / aval in yogurt for 15-20 minutes

2. Take a pan add oil and heat it, then add all the ingredients like coriander seeds, turmeric powder, coriander cumin powder, garam masala powder, green chili’s, onions, saute them well, Then add ginger garlic paste, salt, mix and saute them well until the raw flavor goes

3. Add grated coconut mix and cook for few more minutes, then transfer the mixture to the mixing bowl and add all other ingredients like soaked aval, mashed potato, coriander leaves, mix all the ingredients together well and make a dough, then make small lemon size balls out of it and fry them in oil, the recipe is ready
