Tasty Aloo Mutter (Matar) Curry Recipe / Potato Green Peas Curry Recipe


Ingredients :

1. Potato / Aloo / Urulai Kizhangu – 4 (skin peeled and cut into pieces – steam cooked)

2. Green Peas  / Mutter / Matar / Pachai Pattani – 1 cup – steam cooked

3. Onion / Pyaaz / Vengayam – 1 – grind it to paste

4. Tomato / Tamatar / Thakkali – 1

5. Tomato Ketchup

6. Red Chili Powder / Lal Mirch Powder / Milagai Thool – 2-3 Ts

7. Coriander Cumin Powder / Dhania Seerakam Podi – 1 Ts

8. Fennel Powder / Saunf Powder / Perum Jeerakam Podi – 1 Ts

9. Turmeric Powder / Haldi Powder / Manjal Thool – 1 Ts

10. Garam Masala Powder – 1 Ts

11. Cumin Seeds / Jeera / Seerakam

12. Ginger Garlic Paste / Adrak Lahsun  Paste / Inji Poondu Vizhuthu

13. Butter / Makhan

14. Oil / Tel / Yennai

Method :

1. Take a pan add oil and butter, heat it, add cumin seeds and let it splutter, then add grinded onion paste and ginger garlic paste, mix and saute them well, until raw flavor goes

2. Then add tomato’s mix and let it cook, also add tomato ketchup, saute them well and let it cook

3. Now add all the powder masala ingredients like red chili powder, coriander cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, fennel powder, mix well and let it cook

4. Once the ingredients start to thicken add steam cooked potato’s and green peas, saute it well, add salt and water, let the curry cook for 3-4 minutes, then before switching off the flame add crushed kasoori methi, stir it well, garnish with coriander leaves and the recipe is ready
