Poondu Puli Kuzhambu Recipe / Tamarind Garlic Curry Recipe


Ingredients :

1. Garlic / Poondu – 4/5 finely chopped

2. Curry Leaves / Karuveppilai – few

3. Tamarind Water / Puli thanni – 1/2 cup

4. Coriander Seeds / Dhania  – 2 Ts

5. Black Gram / Urad Dal / Ulundu – 1 Tbs

6. Split Bengal Gram / Chana Dal / Kadalai Paruppu – 1 Tbs

7. Fenugreek Seeds / Venthayam – very few

8. Cumin Seeds and Mustard Seeds / Seerakam and Kaduku

9. Pepper Cons / Milagu  – 2 Ts

10. Oil / Yennai and Salt

Method :

1. Take a pan, add ingredients like garlic, coriander seeds, pepper cons, urad dal, chana dal, fenugreek, cumin seeds, dry roast them, then make a fine paste of it by adding little water

2. Then in the same pan, add oil and heat it, add mustard and curry leaves, let it splutter, now add grinded paste and mix well, then add tamarind juice, mi well, add salt.

3. Let the curry cook for 3-4 minutes, garnish with coriander leaves, and the recipe is ready
