Indo Chinese Special Cauliflower Manchurian Recipe / Gobi Manchurian Recipe


Ingredients  :

1. Cauliflower  – 1 cut into individual florets

2. Onion / Vengayam – 1 cut into cube size pieces

3. Green Onion / Vengayathaal – 3/4 chopped

4. Bell Pepper / Kudai Milagai – 1 cut into cube size pieces

5. Ginger, Garlic and Green Chili / Inji Poondu and Pachai Milagai – grind to paste / shredded to small pieces

6. Tomato Ketchup

7. Soya Sauce

8. All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 cup

9. Corn Starch – 4 Tbs

10. Rice Flour / Arisi Maavu – 2 Tbs

11. Kashmiri Chili Powder / Kashmiri Milagai Thool – 2 Tbs

12. Pepper Powder / Milagu Thool – 1 Ts

13. Tandoori Masala Powder – 2 Ts

14. Dry Mango Powder – 1 Ts

15. Salt

16. Oil / Yennai

Method :

1. Steam cook the florets by adding a pinch of salt and oil, strain water and set it aside

2. Take a mixing bowl, add ingredients like all purpose flour, corn starch, rice flour powder, salt, pepper powder, kashmiri chili powder, tandoori masala powder, soya sauce (a few drops) and dry mango powder, mix all the ingredients together well and make a fine batter by adding water

3. Now take a vessel, add oil and heat it (for deep frying cauliflower florets), dip each of the cauliflower florets in the batter made above, and deep fry them, until they turn golden brown in color, set it aside

4. Take another pan, add oil and heat it, then add ingredients like ginger, garlic and green chili’s, saute them well. Then add onion’s and green onions, saute them well, also add soya sauce, tomato ketchup and pepper powder, mix and saute them well, (add salt by tasting a little bit as the sauces already have salt and we have already added salt in the batter), cook for 1-2 minutes

5. Now add the fried cauliflower florets and mix well, garnish with greens of green onions and the recipe is ready
