Ulundu Vadai Recipe | Medu Vadai Recipe


Ingredients :

Ulundu/ Urad Dal/ Black Gram – 2 cups

Onions/ Vengayam – 1 big (chopped finely)

Ginger/ Inji

Garlic/ Poondu

Green Chili’s/ Pachai Milagai – 1-2

Curry Leaves/ karuveppilai – few

Salt

Oil/ Yennai

Method:

1. Soak the black gram in water for atleast 1-2 hours before preparing the recipe

2. Grind the black gram coarsely by adding ginger, garlic, salt, half quantity of the chopped onions ¬†and green chili’s

3. After grinding the black gram, add finely chopped curry leaves, the remaining onion’s and green chili’s

4. Heat oil in a vessel, make flat round shaped vadai’s (apply oil to hands for smoothly dropping the vadai’s into the oil pan) and deep fry them until they turn to a golden brown color, the recipe is ready
