American Chop Suey Recipe – Indian Style


Ingredients :

For Making the Sauce Mixture :

1. Vegetable Broth – 1/4 cup

2. Corn Starch / Chola Maavu – 1/4 cup

3. Chili Garlic Paste / Poondu Milagai Vizhuthu – 1 Tbs

4. Tomato Ketchup

5. Pepper Powder / Milagu Thool

6. Vinegar – 1 or 2 Ts

Other Ingredients :

1. Noodles – 1 pack

2. Onion / Vengayam – 1 cup

3. Ginger and Garlic / Inji and Poondu – finely chopped

4. Carrots – 1 cup

5. Broccoli – 1 cup

6. Celery Sticks – 2 finely chopped

7. Green Beans – 1/2 cup

8. Bell Pepper / Capsicum / Kudai Milagai – 1

9. Green Chili / Pachai Milagai – 1 or 2

10. Bean Sprouts – 1 cup

11. Red Chili Flakes

Method :

1. Prepare the sauce mixture by mixing all the ingredients mentioned under (For Making Sauce Mixture), there should not be any lumps, set it aside

2. Cook noodles according to the instructions given on back of the noodles pack, strain water and set it aside

3. Take a wok / big pan, add oil and heat it, add ginger and garlic, saute them well until raw flavor goes, then add all other vegetables, saute them well, Now add a pinch of pepper powder, red chili flakes and salt, mix it well

4. After sauteing the vegetables well, add the sauce mixture, mix well and cook, then add the previously cooked noodles, mix well, before switching off the stove you can add Napa Cabbage (optional), the recipe is ready
