Mysore Pak Recipe – Soft And Melt in Mouth Sweet


Ingredients :

1. Besan / Kadalai Maavu  – 2 cups

2. Sugar / Sarkarai – 6 cups

3. Ghee –  3 cups

4. Water – 3 cups

Method :

1. Take a vessel add water and heat it, Make sugar syrup, by mixing both water and sugar together

2. After you get the correct consistency for the sugar syrup, slowly start adding besan / kadalai maavu little by little, keep stirring, see to that there are no lumps, always keep the stove flame in medium or in between low and medium according to your stove watts

3. Once the whole besan is added, start adding ghee little by little, (stir continuously never leave unattended it will stick to the base), when the sweet mixture gets pale and frothy, switch off the flame and pour it in a greased tray, flatten the top evenly and smoothly

4. Let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then cut them to small square or rectangle shaped pieces, can garnish with cardamom (optional), the recipe is ready
