Poori Recipe / How To Make Pooris

Poori is made with wheat flour, they are soft, fluffy and are yummy, they go well with side dishes like aloo or chana kind of varieties


Ingredients :

Ingredients For Making Poori :

1. Wheat Flour / Atta Flour / Godhumai Maavu
2. Oil – 1 to 2 Ts for adding while making doughand oil for deep frying the pooris
3. Salt
4. Water





Method :

 Method For Making Poori :

  1. Take a mixing bowl, add the flour, 1 to 2 Ts of oil, salt, mix well, knead the dough by adding water little by little
  2. You can use a damp cloth and cover it over the dough for at least an hour before making the pooris its completely optional
  3. Meanwhile take a deep frying vessel or kadai, add oil and heat it
  4. Make small lemon size balls out of the dough and flatten them using a rolling pin, grease the rolling pin and the place with oil, can also dust in some atta flour so that the poori does not stick while flattening them with the rolling pin
  5. Fry them in the oil by turning them both the sides, they will fluff up, fry until golden brown in color, the recipe is ready to serve hot with chana masala or potato masala recipes
