Soya Chunks Pulao is a healthy and yummy variety rice recipe or pulao variety with soya chunks

Soya Chunks Pulao

Ingredients To Make Soya Chunks Pulao :

To dry roast and grind for making pulao masala powder :

1. Cumin Seeds
2. Fennel Seeds
3. Pepper Cons
4. Cinnamon Sticks
5. Cloves
6. Star Anise

For making paste :

1. Shallots / small onion – 1
2. Ginger / Inji – 1 small piece
3. Garlic / Poondu – 6 cloves
4. Green Chili’s / Pachai Milagai – 2

Other ingredients required are :

1. Soya chunks – cooked as per the directions on its box
2. Basmati Rice / Long grain rice- 3 cups
3. Garam Masala Powder
4. Bay Leaves
5. Onion / Vengaya, – 1 big chopped
6. Green Chili / Pachai Milagai – 1 chopped
7. Mint Leaves / Pudina – few
8. Thick Yogurt / Curd – 1/2 cup
9. Salt

 

 

Soya Chunks Pulao

Method of making Soya Chunks Pulao

  1. Cook the Soya chunks in boiling water or as per the instructions on its box, drain water and set aside
  2. Also prepare the masala powder and the paste, set them aside
  3. Now take a pan, add oil and heat it, add bay leaves, garam masala powder and 1/2 Ts of the pulao masala powder, let it splutter, then add onion and green chili’s, saute well, add salt, mix well
  4. Then add the soya chunks, mix well, also add the remaining amount of pulao masala powder, saute and mix well
  5. Add curd and grinded paste, saute them until raw flavor goes, then add the basmati rice, mint leaves and sufficient amount of water for the rice to cook, close the lid and let it cook, garnish with coriander leaves, Soya Chunks Pulao recipe is ready to serve with rhaita
