Easy & Quick Vegetable Pulao Recipe In Pressure Cooker – is made with long grain / basmati rice with whole spices alone which spice up and give a beautiful taste and aroma to this dish, along with mixed vegetables, you can also add peas alone to make the peas pulao version, since we cook it in pressure cooker the process gets even easier to make quickly for lunch or dinner


Ingredients : For Making Easy And Quick Vegetable Pulao In Pressure Cooker

1. Basmati Rice / Long Grain Rice – 2 cups
2. Onion / Vengayam – 1 big chopped thinly
3. Mixed Vegetables – 1 cup – like carrots, peas, french beans, etc
4. Bell Pepper / Kudai Milagai – 1 cup
5. Whole spices – bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cardamom, star anise, cumin seeds

6. Ghee / Oil
To Grind To Paste :
1. Ginger / Inji
2. Garlic / Poondu – 5 cloves
3. Green Chili / Pachai Milagai – 3
4. Plain Thick Yogurt / Thayir – 1/2 cup

Method : For Making Easy And Quick Vegetable Pulao Recipe In Pressure Cooker

  1. Take a pressure cooker pan add ghee or oil and heat it
  2. Then add all the whole spices ingredients and let them splutter
  3. Now add onions, saute it slightly don’t let them turn brown in color, then add bell peppers, vegetables one by one and saute them too slightly
  4. Once the ingredients are all sauted, add the grinded paste and mix well, you can also add some cashew nuts (optional), add salt and mix well
  5. Then add the rice, saute it to mix well with the other ingredients and add 4 cups of water (1 cup of rice = 2 cups of water), can also add some mint (which is optional), close the lid of the pressure cooker put the whistle and wait for 2 to 3 whistles, once all the pressure inside the cooker is gone, open the lid, and fluff the rice with fork, serve hot with rhaitha or spicy gravy/ curry, the Easy And Quick Vegetable Pulao In Pressure Cooker is ready
